Dr. Julia Wu has received guidance from esteemed professors, including Erika Lux at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (Germany), Michael Endres at the University of Canterbury, Olga Kern (winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition), and pianist Earl Rose.

She received distinction and honors during her studies and was selected to perform in the Final Concert at the Euro Music Festival in Germany. In the United States, Dr. Julia Wu was accepted to graduate degree programs in piano performance at the Manhattan School of Music, Mannes School of Music, College-Conservatory of Music-University of Cincinnati, Indiana University, and the Peabody Institute (with scholarship). She completed her Master’s degree in Piano Performance at the Manhattan School of Music in 2014.

Dr. Julia Wu was selected to perform in a master class with Olga Kern, garnering positive reviews from esteemed professors. During the same year, she was awarded third place in the Five Towns Music and Arts Association Young Musician’s Competition in New York. In New York City, an international cultural hub, Dr. Wu perfected her performance skills and systematically explored diverse knowledge and culture at an institute of higher education for music and arts.

With a passion for piano, arts, culture, and teaching, she chose to continue her studies and was admitted into a doctoral program in 2016. During her time in the United States, she has performed both as a soloist and chamber musician at MSM’s Pforzheimer Hall, Miller Recital Hall, Mikowsky Recital Hall, and the Kaufman Music Center (Ann Goodman Recital Hall) in New York City, receiving praise as “a superb pianist and musician of stature and depth.”
