Growing up in the Music Talented Program in Taiwan, Ms. Lydia Tseng has profound musical training. She holds a Master of Music Degree in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music from the Eastman School of Music in New York, where she received a merit-based scholarship and Graduate Award of Assistantship under Dr. Jean Barr. During her time in the United States, she was invited with a full scholarship to the Castleman Quartet Program, studying under Heasook Rhee, and the Music Academy of the West, where she studied under Jonathan Feldman. Before pursuing her overseas studies, Ms. Tseng graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Performance from Taipei National University of the Arts.

Ms. Tseng was a faculty member of Piano Studies at the Mandeville Conservatory of Music after moving to Singapore in 2012. In addition to providing instruction, she participated in syllabus development for Creative Musicianship Classes. She returned to Taiwan in 2020 and founded a music studio in Taichung, where she provides music lessons in English to the local community.

As an active and experienced collaborative pianist, Ms. Tseng has performed extensively. Her credits include the Steinway Singapore SG50 Concert Audition, the Singapore String Conference, the Flute Festival Singapore, the Fresh Air Fine Arts Festival, and numerous faculty recitals. During her residency in Singapore, she was also invited to give many piano master classes, guiding her students to excellent results in international competitions and examinations. Since returning to Taiwan, she has continued to perform in annual chamber recitals.

Ms. Tseng believes that music learning extends beyond notes and techniques; it is a journey where one learns self-discipline, persistence, and determination. She maintains that under the right guidance, the process of learning music can be both enjoyable and deeply rewarding.
