Jill Lin is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts at The Catholic University of America, where she studies under Dr. Ivo Kaltchev. She holds Master and Bachelor degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and Soochow University, having studied with Dr. Arkady Aronov and Dr. John Vaughan.
Ms. Lin has received guidance from numerous esteemed pianists, including Boris Berman, Alexandre Moutouzkine, Joanne Polk, and Alexander Braginsky. As the winner of the 2021 Concerto Competition at Catholic University, she was invited to perform as a soloist with the university orchestra. In 2022, she also represented the institution in a piano trio performance during the visit of the National Association of Schools of Music.
Jill Lin has been praised for her “excellent sense in music… especially the lyrical quality” by piano virtuoso Alexandre Moutouzkine. The eminent Arkady Aronov also described her as “a gifted pianist with bright artistic talent and brilliant technique,” noting that “her music also has unique sincerity.”
An active soloist and chamber musician, Ms. Lin has appeared at major venues including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center Bruno Walter Auditorium, The DiMenna Center, and Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center in New York City, as well as the National Recital Hall in Taipei and the Weiwuying Recital Hall in Kaohsiung.
